It's Eclipse Day! Monday, August 21, 2017

Good morning, Confluence! It’s Eclipse Day!

Our teachers and staff have lessons and activities planned for the solar eclipse. Here are a few things to remember:

  • Students who are participating in the event will wear special eclipse glasses provided by Confluence. Looking directly at the sun is not safe. Everyone must wear the eclipse glasses.
  • Physical education classes scheduled during the eclipse will be held indoors.
  • Students will have indoor recess during the eclipse.
  • Parents, if you decided to have your child stay inside during the eclipse, your child will have a chance to watch the eclipse on a live broadcast.

The eclipse will begin at 11:54 a.m. and end at 2:42 p.m.; nearly 90 percent of the sun will be covered at 1:19 p.m.

We’re looking forward to this experience! Have a good day!
