Confluence Academies celebrated International Day of the Girl on October 11th by attending a one-day conference hosted at Grand Center Arts Academy's Sun Theater.
The Sophia Project facilitated 12 schools from across the St. Louis Region to bring awareness to a Digital Girl in a Digital World, through a live podcast, a battle of the lady DJs, and a girl town hall with middle and high school scholars.
The event curated a safe space to discuss key issues our adolescent girls face, offering intangible and tangible tools that encourage/empower them, and providing an avenue for their voices to be heard.
