Volleyball

The Comets Volleyball club kicked off its 2022 season on Sept. 13. Coaches Isabella Naccarato, Summer Turner, and Nia Smith work with 100 students between the Elementary team (grades 3-5) and the Junior Academy team (grades 6-8).  

Ivorianna Battle (5th grade) loved being a part of the volleyball team so much last year that she not only returned to the team but brought a friend along too! She said, “I enjoy running drills with my teammates and helping other players get better. I’m really looking forward to playing on the Junior Academy team next year!”

Coach Naccarato has appreciated the opportunity to grow as a coach next to Coach Smith & Coach Turner, saying “they teach me more and more every day.” She is grateful to play a role in keeping students engaged and active outside of the classroom. 

You can catch the Comets Volleyball Club on Tuesdays (grades 6-8) and Thursdays (grades 3-5) after school from 4:00pm-5:15pm at the Meramec campus gym. On October 25th they will close out their season with the yearly student-faculty face off to celebrate all their hard work! Grades 3-5 will play at 4:30 and grades 6-8 will play at 5:30. The comets can be very competitive and love the chance to “try” and beat their teachers.
